Quarry workers suffer from lung damage and other types of diseases caused by the exposure to limestone dust; such as skin cancer, hearing problems, limb injuries and amputations, and many other safety problems. Safety products are either unavailable or too expensive to afford.
Enactus Minia University designed a full safety kit containing a protective mask; with an air purifying filter and eyes’ protection shield, along with a full body safety suit and especially designed shoes.
