Chito-Shrimp
Enactus Azhar University – Upper Egypt empowered Shakshouk Village in El Fayoum to recycle shrimp shields waste instead of throwing them and polluting Karun Lake’s water to produce:
- Homemade spices for seafood dishes by the village’s women.
- An effective fertilizer thanks to the chitosan in shrimps’ shells.
- Using the chitosan, that absorbs all the impurities in the water as well as the water viruses and bacteria, to make water filters for households use.
